Does Dunedinsys fit where you are headed?
Our admissions process is straightforward, but it is selective — we accept students who are ready to commit to the cohort model and the pace it sets.
A process built on fit, not just grades
Dunedinsys does not use a single grade threshold to determine entry. Instead, our admissions panel reviews each application across four dimensions: prior learning or work experience, a written statement of purpose, an online aptitude assessment tailored to the discipline you are applying for, and — for shortlisted applicants — a 20-minute video interview with a faculty member. This approach surfaces motivated students who may not have a conventional academic record but who demonstrate the curiosity and commitment that cohort-based learning demands. We reject approximately 38 percent of applications, not because we want to be exclusive, but because placing an underprepared student in a tight cohort is unfair to that student and to their peers.
The four steps to enrolment
Each step is designed to help you assess fit as much as it helps us assess yours.

Step 1 — Online application
Complete the online form with your contact details, programme preference, and a 400-word statement of purpose explaining why this programme, why now, and what you intend to do with the qualification. The form takes approximately 35 minutes to complete carefully.

Step 2 — Aptitude assessment
Shortlisted applicants receive a link to a 60-minute online assessment. Questions are discipline-specific — technology applicants work through logic and code-reading tasks; business applicants analyse a case scenario; creative applicants respond to a brief. Results are returned within three working days.

Step 3 — Faculty interview
Applicants who pass the assessment are invited to a 20-minute video interview with a Dunedinsys faculty member from their chosen discipline. The interview is conversational, not a formal examination. Its purpose is to ensure both parties — you and us — are confident about the fit.

Step 4 — Offer and acceptance
Successful applicants receive a written offer within five working days of the interview. You have 14 days to accept and pay the enrolment deposit of $500 NZD, which is deducted from your first-term fees. Places are confirmed in order of accepted offers.
Fees and financial considerations
Full-programme fees for the 2026 intake range from $8,400 NZD to $11,200 NZD depending on discipline, payable in two equal term instalments. Dunedinsys does not currently receive government subsidy, so fees are not covered by the Fees Free scheme. However, StudyLink living cost support may be available to eligible domestic students. We encourage all applicants to contact StudyLink directly and to review our fee schedule, published on request, before accepting an offer. International students should note that additional documentation is required and that visa timelines must be factored into the application calendar.
